BIOLOGIST/REGULATORY SPECIALIST

Responsibilities:  General duties will include writing and reviewing technical reports and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)/National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) chapters on terrestrial resources, developing state and federal permit applications for fill or disturbance of streams and wetlands, preparing biological assessments and habitat conservation plans as part of Endangered Species Act consultations, conducting focused plant and wildlife surveys, and developing biological constraints and opportunities reports.Qualifications:  Minimum qualification is a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, ecology, or closely related field.  The ideal candidate will have prior experience with CEQA/NEPA, California and federal Endangered Species Acts, stream and wetland permitting, and GIS.  Candidate must have experience with California flora and fauna, and with completing impact analyses and developing mitigation.  Experience in environmental consulting preferred.  The successful candidate, beyond technical excellence, is a positive, flexible, team-oriented individual with the willingness and desire to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.  Candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
