Pilgrim's Pride is seeking a Farm Manager for our Company Breeder Farm at our Nacogdoches, TX location.

Will be responsible for:

1. Managing labor and safety issues
2. Assisting in maintaining buildings and all equipment within them
3. Managing feeding program
4. Maintaining air quality by ensuring correct ventilation and temperature in houses
5. Maintaining litter quality in scratch area
6. Maintaining drinker height and pressure to ensure dry litter under slats
7. Preparing each house for pullets prior to placement of each flock
8. Ensuring the cleanliness and neatness of entire farm
9. Maintaining water quality and ensure an adequate supply of water
10. Removing mortality daily and cull sickly birds from houses
11. Reporting any excessive mortality or production drops to Service Technician
12. Keeping accurate records containing bird weight, feed amounts, production and hatch records
13. Performing related tasks as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have at least one year of verifiable experience in the poultry industry preferably in Breeders and Pullets
2. Must be able to meet biosecurity requirements. (Must not own or come in contact with poultry or fowl of any kind)
3. Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds or more.
4. Must be self motivated and able to work independently
5. Good mechanical aptitude
6. Must have strong time management skills
7. Must have good communication skills in both verbal and written form
8. Must be able to read and write English
9. Must work well with other people
10. Must be a team player committed to continuous improvement
11. Must be able to work in wet and /or humid conditions and outside weather conditions
12. Confidentiality is a must

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma and/or GED; College degree preferred.
