Conservation Ecologist

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a leading firm in natural resources planning and environmental compliance, is seeking a Conservation Ecologist for our Sacramento, CA, office. We are looking for strong entry/mid level candidates for this opportunity. We are seeking a PhD or MS degreed individual with a strong background in ecology, conservation biology, and California natural communities. The SAIC Conservation Planning Team is currently working on several large regional habitat conservation plans in California, including as lead consultant on the Bay Delta Conservation Plan and the Butte Regional Conservation Plan. This is an excellent opportunity to work with highly experienced professionals while furthering or starting a career in applied conservation ecology contributing to HCPs, NCCPs, and other regional natural resources plans. Projects will include regional habitat conservation plans, natural resources management plans, habitat restoration plans, Endangered Species Act compliance.
