Job Description: Credit & Contract Analyst For additional Employment Opportunities at John Deere visit: www.JohnDeereCareers.com John Deere Credit is looking for a Credit Analyst II in the Wind Energy Division.  Starting salary:  55,000 - 60,000 commensurate with experience. Total compensation includes salary, bonus, and comprehensive benefits. John Deere Credit was founded to offer financing solutions to the industries we serve and the customers we know best. In addition to providing retail, wholesale and lease financing to help customers buy John Deere equipment, we also serve the broader needs of the agricultural industry by offering revolving credit, input and operating loans to help farmers purchase needed supplies and services.  MAJOR PURPOSE : Independently makes and communicates decisions regarding the viability of conterparties on various Wind Energy project contracts.  Responsible for analyzing, interpreting and communicating issues associated with various moderately complex project documents applicable to Wind Energy investments. Responsible for providing a high level of support to others within the Wind Energy group.  May provide work directions or assists with training, coaching and mentoring.   MAJOR DUTIES : Description of the major duties performed in this job. Evaluates financial and other information to assess the initial and on-going viability of counterparties including energy offtakers, contractors, developers and suppliers.  Effectively communicate results both internally and externally.  Reviews land leases, surveys and title commitments applicable to wind projects to ensure that the appropriate aland is secured.  Work with landowners, financial instructions and business development to secure and record applicable non-disturbance/subordination agreements.  Work with the title insurance companies to secure appropriate policies and endorsements.  Liaison with Deere & Co Risk Management Group regarding timing and amounts of insurance overages applicable to each project, reviewing of contractual insurance requirements and the issuance of insurance certificates as contractually required. Reviews other project documentation for acceptability and contractual obligations. Fields inquiries by landowners, developers and minority owners and  assists with solving problems, answering questions, and counseling them regarding contract issues. Assists with training, coaching and mentoring Credit Analysts and internal staff. Provides expert credit and contract advice and may provide work direction.TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE  Understanding of financial statements, cash flow and key financial ratios. Ability to analyze project documentation including identifying contractual obligations. Ability to quickly change focus on work activities. Knowledge of industry EDUCATION Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience.  EXPERIENCECredit acceptance or related experience.
