Environmental Compliance Specialist

Triumph Technologies is currently recruiting for an Environmental Compliance Support Specialist to support the Mound Environmental Compliance Lead on regulatory issues related to National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

The Environmental Compliance Specialist will be responsible for the following: Compliance to these requirements at mound involves groundwater, surface water, and air sampling programs. This includes maintaining and entering NPDES outfall data to be reported monthly in the electronic discharge monitoring report(E-DMR) and development of required periodic reports to the US EPA and the Ohio EPA.
Maintenance and implementation of pertinent manuals and procedures such as the mound chemical hygiene plan, routine collection of effluent water samples, and air sampling procedure.
Interface with the mound samplers and laboratory function, including maintenance of forms, tritium and gross alpha water analysis books, laboratory logbooks.
Function as the waste management lead for recycling and for disposition of occasional hazardous, radiological and mixed waste.
Function as the lead for implementation for DOE Green Environmental Initiatives at Mound.
Tracking of Mound deliverables supporting DOE performance evaluations.
Support mound project transition from DOE-EM to DOE-LM by maintaining and tracking a list of outstanding items and collecting and documenting evidence of completion of each item.
Assembling mound cost savings reports.
Assembling and editing mound weekly and monthly reports.
Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.


Required Skills & Experience: At Least 3-5 years experience in the environmental and waste management fields
A demonstrated knowledge of applicable environmental and waste management regulations including but not limited to RCRA, Clean Water Act(CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Toxic Substance Control Act(TOSCA), CERCLA/Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA).
