The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST (NATURAL RESOURCE SPECIALIST 3). This employment opportunity is with the Public Health Division, which is part of the Department of Human Services (DHS). There is one full-time opening in the Drinking Water Program. A union represents this position.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a minimum of three years of experience in a Natural Resource Program. At least one year of the experience must be at a technical or professional level performing activities in a natural resource program such as researching and analyzing data, conducting investigations, applying pertinent laws and regulations, or coordinating and monitoring project activities; AND
A Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field; OR three additional years of related pertinent experience.
A Master's degree in Science will substitute for up to one year of the required experience.
A Doctorate degree in Science will substitute for up to two years of the required experience.
To receive credit for all required/related coursework, a photocopy of your transcripts with the course clearly marked is required. If the courses are not marked no credit will be given.
NOTE: Candidates that are certified as a public water system operator with WD-3 or WT-3 or greater level certification or able to obtain WD-3 or WT-3 certification within six months- must maintain current registration or certification; or sanitarian registered in Oregon; or professional civil or environmental engineer or engineer-in-training registered in Oregon are desired.
