Environmental Planning Program Manager Position Location: Boise, ID *To be immediately considered for this position please apply tot he SAIC careersite at www.saic.com/career/ ; select "FInd your job"; enter req id# 112056The Environmental Planning Program Manager position presents an opportunity to work within a multi-location team environment on several important environmental projects in the Intermountain Region. This is a key position within an already successful organization that supports clients of SAIC’s Infrastructure and Engineering Business Unit. The Environmental Planning Program Manager is a senior level position. The successful candidate will manage several projects providing expertise and managing interdisciplinary NEPA projects. Responsibilities include: * Lead business development activities in the Lakewood office, and collaborate with skilled business development peers in multiple offices of SAIC’s regional organization to achieve an integrated, cohesive business development approach across the region. * Prepare and manage development of complex Planning and/or NEPA projects for a range of clients potentially including land management agencies such as BLM, and US Forest Service, as well as US Air Force, US Army, and local municipalities. * Identify appropriate environmental methodologies to assess impacts, acting as principal liaison with clients and agencies. * Direct the preparation of technical analysis by staff planners, scientists and engineers. * Prepare and review proposals and budgets. * Perform all aspects of fiscal program management, achieving high client satisfaction and meeting financial targets. * Evolve and manage a staff of environmental scientists and planners in the Lakewood office. Required Skills: - 10+ years of consulting or agency experience with management of NEPA projects in the western U.S. - Bachelors degree in environmental science (biology/ecology, chemistry, geology or hydrology), Civil Engineering, transportation, or environmental engineering or planning. - Demonstrated detailed working knowledge of environmental laws and regulations from the Federal government and intermountain states. - Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively coordinate and manage projects. - Excellent writing and oral presentation skills. - Demonstrated experience with effective staff management. - Possess a positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic. Desired Skills: - Extensive experience with environmental compliance and permitting under other Federal and intermountain-state laws such as CWA, CAA, ESA. - Experience working on large complex planning projects - Advanced degree in environmental science (biology/ecology, chemistry, geology or hydrology), Civil Engineering, transportation, or environmental engineering or planning. - Demonstrated relationships with at least one federal agency Company: SAIC Location: Boise, CO 83702 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Project/Program Management Relevant Work Experience: 10+ to 15 Years Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Company: SAIC Reference Code: 112056
