Pilgrim's Pride is seeking an Expeditor for our Pittsburg, Texas location. This position ensures that internal customers receive the best service possible through processing orders, preparing general correspondence, and coordinating with other functions as required. This position acts as an internal customer contact regarding pricing, scheduling and shipping. This position will receive and process routine internal customer orders, inquiries and/or complaints covering items or products ordered. This position will maintain an ongoing relationship with selected internal customers and vendor staff.

Basic Responsibilities:
- Processes purchase orders for released requisitions received through SAP.
- Provides pricing, availability and schedule information within established guidelines.
- Suggests alternate products or services to meet customer needs.
- Confirms orders with vendors.
- Resolves routine customer complaints an issues
- Serves as communications link between customers and vendors’ staff to ensure responsiveness.
- Monitors order activity and alerts appropriate partners of any potential delivery problems.
- Works closely with internal accounts payable department to resolve invoice payment discrepancies or errors.
- Maintains daily metrics for monitoring and reposting proficiencies, both in accuracy and productivity volume.
- May require minimal travel to plants.
- May require availability outside of normal business hours.

Basic Qualifications:
- 2 or more years purchasing experience preferred.
- Must have excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Internet Explorer).
- SAP software experience preferred.
- Must have excellent business machine skills (computer, multi-line phone, fax, copier, scanner, etc).
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills, being
able to work with all levels of management and hourly partners.
- Must be self-motivated to perform simultaneous tasks without close, continuous supervision.
- Availability to work outside of normal business hours.
- Ability to travel to plants as necessary.

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED; College degree preferred, related job experience considered
