Field Agricultural Representative

***AGRICULTURAL FIELD REPRESENTATIVE FOR A FOOD MANUFACTURER******ENTRY LEVEL O.K. WITH SOME "AG" EXPERIENCE OR BACKGROUND******LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED *** ***MUST LIVE WITHIN 75 MILES OF MODESTO*** GENERAL: Manage raw product acquisition functions to ensure low cost, high quality deliveries of raw product throughout California. Coordinate the seasonal aspects of raw product harvest, receiving stations, transportation, cold storage, pesticide compliance and raw product delivery schedules, to maximize field and operational efficiencies. Implement off-season planting and contracting schedules to further support company goals.Promote a positive  presence in the field with the growers and community throughout the year. RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and input pesticide treatment history reports and maintain pesticide program to ensure all raw product meets or exceeds corporate, state and federal guidelines.Management of Raw Product Acquisition. Implement company's harvesting strategies regarding maturity, texture, etc. Management of short and long term acquisition plan. Monitor the orchards year around to ensure proper maintance is taking place. Provide timely and reliable crop estimate information. Implement planting schedule for raw product that meets production needs. Participate in year-end reviews with company personnel and growers to continue development of state wide raw product goals. Monitor third party quality control agency (SPI) to ensure company quality standards are met.Coordinate harvest delivery schedules with growers and trucking operations.
