Flower shop Manager/CEO

Job Purpose:

*Provide Leadership to staff while working hand and hand with owner to design and create profitable approaches to increase and maintain sales goals.




*Oversee compliance of company guidelines and specifications, while motivating and increasing employee production.





*Develop marketing ideas for brand imaging to build on and increase business accounts.




Duties:

*Including but not limited to delegating work and supervising, monitoring and directing the staff of employees. 




*Independently  prioritizing and accomplishing multiple management tasks within established time frames by effective planning and managing of work loads.   




*Oversee purchasing of wholesale goods while keeping in mind existing inventory loads, while reducing overhead costs of goods and shrinkage.




*Maintain working relationship with company bookkeepers, owners, and wholesale accounts.




*Identifying staffing needs for existing work loads and future needs.




* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.



* Enhances florist shop reputation by accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.



Skills/Qualifications:

Candidate  must have a strong managerial experience.  Working knowledge of general business practices, including Floral shop knowledge is helpful but not required.  Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Proficiency in areas of basic accounting, problem solving with excellent communication and computer skills.

*The ability to work some extended hours, weekends and holidays.  




*A valid drivers license is required.
