Northeast Nursery is looking for strong industry knowledgeable people to add to our sales team. Within the Sales category, we are looking for different levels of ability:

 

 

Outside Nursery Sales - Interacting with the client you will service their needs and at the same time become knowledgeable about the green industry.

 

Inside Sales - Working with customers on a day to day basis as they come in or by contacting them proactively.

 

 

Job Purpose:



To provide outstanding customer service to our clients through green industry and construction knowledge, relationship building, while growing yourself personally in a rewarding industry.

 



Duties:

 Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and potential customers.Generate additional sales by cross selling merchandise.Create an awareness of the value of landscaping by making recommendations of new or underutilized plants.Generating new sales by informing customers of the products or services available at Northeast Nursery that can help their bottom line grow.Developing quotations or proposals and following up on them to secure future business.Follow up with customer orders through the processes of order pulling, order verification, customer loading/delivery loading.Educate customers on topics such as planting and plant care and maintenance suggestions.Assist in the merchandising of products to offer fresh ideas to our customers.

 

Knowledge of plant material or stone products are not required, but helpful.  We offer training in all areas of product knowledge, plant care, and general maintenance.

 

 

 

Skills/Qualifications:

Sales and communication skills a plus, self-initiative, job knowledge, innovation, independence, flexibility, focus, thoroughness, safety management, equipment use and maintenance helpful.
