Industrial Electrician - Location: Garibaldi, OR

Industrial ElectricianBusiness:  Weyerhaeuser Hardwoods & Industrial ProductsLocation:  Northern CA Background:  Weyerhaeuser Hardwoods (formerly Northwest Hardwoods) is a progressive business within the Weyerhaeuser Company.  It is an industry leader in the manufacturing and sales of hardwood lumber.  The Garibaldi, Oregon location is a modern, computerized sawmill that cuts alder and maple.  The mill is currently a two-shift operation employing 50 production employees. Garibaldi is a beautiful small coastal community located on the central Oregon coast. Key Functions: The Plant Industrial Electrician’s primary responsibility is to assure that all electrical apparatus remains at a fully functional capacity.  Must trouble shoot, maintain and make all repairs necessary for the safe, efficient operations of the mill during the assigned shift.  Must be available on call all hours to assure that the mill is ready to run for the next scheduled shift.  Must ensure that all electrical apparatus and installations comply with NEC requirements.  Must perform all inspections required to ensure that our electrical equipment is in safe, operational condition and document the results of such inspections as required.Requirements: Candidates for this position must posses at least a current Manufacturing Electrician License issued by the State of Oregon, or an equivalent license from a jurisdiction with a reciprocating agreement with the State of Oregon.  Candidates for this position must also have at least two years experience in the wood products industry in a maintenance capacity or an equal amount of experience in a related position.  Must be able to trouble shoot and have a working knowledge of programmable logic controllers.  Must also be familiar with power factor regulating equipment such as the Accu-Var.  Cutting and welding experience is a plus.
