Knowledge Manager – Research Triangle Park, NC

 

Role Purpose -

 

Assist Biotech personnel in creating knowledge assets and implementing new processes and technologies into their current ways of working to sustain a knowledge sharing culture. 

 

Accountabilities –

 Institute document management within biotech research projects and functions.  Manage information within R&D based on a strategy of sharing, archiving and find ability.  Develop a collaborative culture within R&D such that information is shared appropriately outside of the existing organizational structure.Implement communities of practice, by identifying best practices regarding technologies, methodologies and ways of working. Serve as a knowledge advisor to the research and development community.  Directly responsible for approval of team spaces and serves as a point of contact to the Information Management group.Evaluate, design and implement knowledge management systems in a collaborative approach together with end-users and IT specialists.Review and audit implementation of systems to ensure successful implementation of the new knowledge culture.Maintain associated training and support Documentum rolloutKnowledge Management toolkit

 

 

 

Knowledge, experience & capabilities –

 

Critical knowledge:

 B.S. in Biology / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology or a related field. Experience in plant biotechnology and development of transgenic crop products.2 – 5 years of knowledge management related activities

 

Critical experience:

 Experience with knowledge management tools, systems and techniques.Previous work experience in the life sciences or chemical industryFamiliar with scientific research and development processes

 

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:

 Detail oriented with strong project management capabilityCommunication and interpersonal skillsCoaching and/or training experience Ability to effectively work with multiple teams with.
