Landscape Estimator

Mayfield Gardens is a landscape contracting company located in Newtown Square, PA.  The company opened its doors in 1939 as a residential based landscaping outfit and has expanded into one of the most prestigious commercial based landscaping corporations throughout the greater Philadelphia area.  Through its expansions, Mayfield has also opened two other companies: Site Contractors and Professional Maintenance.  The Gardens division focuses on landscaping, paving and irrigation systems; mainly serving local businesses, corporate centers, and new construction.  We also have a small amount of residential work and are looking into building our residential market, while maintaining our main focus of commercial business.

 

We are looking for a Landscape Estimator to bid potential corporate, commercial, and industrial jobs.  The employee will be working with blue prints and specification documents to obtain a competitive price.  The Estimator will also have select project management responsibilities.  For example: turning in project submittals in a timely fashion, corresponding with representatives from the General Contracting firm, etc.  Candidates should have a background in horticulture, be familiar with the landscape construction business, have estimating and/or project management experience.  Candidates should also be a team player, organized, forward thinking,  have strong communication skills (to focus on developing professional relationships with those they will be selling to), and poses a strong sense of self-motivation.  A knack for landscape design would be an additional bonus.
