We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator I – Container for our Plymouth, MN location.  This position coordinates day-to-day logistics activities required for the transportation of Mosaic products via containers.  This person monitors daily shipment schedule and communicates to the supply chain team and customer when appropriate. This role is responsible for providing documentation to support shipment to the customer.



Principle Accountabilities:

 Responsible for assigning the container carrier, confirming container freight rate is in the system and orders are accurate, checking the plant shipment origin, product and customers arrival expectations.Dispatching of orders via email, internet, fax and verbal means to container carriers and confirming receipt of such.Optimize container carriers for specific loads to manage freight costs.Coordinate loads with the plants to match the customer’s product / shipment expectations.Ship containers in SAP and verify accuracy of orders and prepare documentation for customer.

Required Education, Experience, Skills:

 High School Diploma is required.Bachelor’s degree with a major in Business, Transportation, Marketing, or Economics is preferred.Experience working in a transportation or logistics related field is preferred.Experience with letters of credit.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to analyze information and make decisions accordingly.Strong time management skills.Ability to work in a stressful and demanding environment at times.
