Manager, Arab Service

 

 

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. has an employment opportunity for an Agricultural Retail Store Manager.The store is located in Arab, Alabama and  is approximately 25 miles from Cullman, AL and, Guntersville AL.  The location generates $2 million in annual sales with 50% of the business comprised of Crops, and the remaining 50% of the business in Feed and Farm Supplies.  Custom application services in spreading and spraying are also offered. The store has a committed group of 5 employees.

 

The Manager will  oversee the day-to-day operations of the location and have involvement with all areas of the business.  Duties also include managing the staff, driving sales and effectively handling customer service issues.

 

To qualify, you must  have a Degree in Agriculture, or related experience.  Completion of a management development plan is helpful. A minimum of 4 years supervisory experience in retail operations and experience in agriculture are essential.  Must be highly motivated, dependable, detail oriented, and an overall leader.  Must also have knowledge of Row Crops, Corn, Wheat, Soybeans, Cotton, Beef, Equine Feed &  Supplies, Farm Supplies, Fertilizer Blending, Applications and Spraying.
