Learn more at http://www.hineshort.com/  This Master Demand Scheduler (MDS) works as the catalyst between Corporate Planning and the Production Control team at each site. The MDS is responsible for creating and anticipated build plan at an end item level in the Oracle system. In this process, time fences and planning bills need to be maintained and utilized. Using a rough cut capacity analysis; the MDS plan must be validated at the site level prior to the entering into the planning horizon. The MDS also works as a bridge between new demand from sales and the site for finding substitute items for requested items inside the planning fence.  Working in corporate planning driving a production schedule for 8 different sites.  Managing the schedules with production control managers at each site. According to the Master Demand Schedule. The position will be accountable for (but not limited to) the following:   Working within and assisting in the implementation of ASCP in Oracle. Meetings – Conduct and /or participate in weekly or bi-weekly meetings with the Production Control (PC) teams at the site level.   MDS Creation – Creation of a MDS for sites based on set criteria of items or site centric. Estimated 4000 plus end items ranging from 1-8 sites.  Analysis – Using COGNOS analyze and communicate supply and demand for the sales team and or senior management for decision making.   New Demand – Create new demand in Oracle based off newly created sales programs as approved from management.  Capacity Analysis – Capacity analysis is becoming more critical to the business as we shift from one site to another.  Transfers- Based on constraints and changing markets the MDS team is responsible for keeping supply and demand balanced between sites, while keeping costs in check with the budget.
