Mechanical Engineer

Bauer North America is seeking a mechanical engineer to join our 78 year old company.


The Bauer Group of 21 companies offers a comprehensive product range of manure handling equipment including slurry pumps and mixers, manure separators, slurry tankers, centrifuges, Bio-Gas plants, and the "Bedding Recovery Unit" from our subsidiary FAN Separator.



Bauer also manufactures an extensive line of irrigation equipment for sale in North America, including hard hose travelers, irrigation pumps and pivots. Our company has its European headquarters in Austria.



We are seeking a candidate with a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and orientation in process engineering, who will help us expand our professional capabilities and ability to offer a complete solution with our manure handling products. A background with pumps, mixers, separators, control panels, Bio gas plants, or other agricultural and dairy related equipment is required.



Responsibilities will include

-Travel to various domestic and international locations as needed

-Design of manure handling facilities, primarily at dairies or hog operations

-Troubleshooting of existing facilities and equipment

-Project planning

-Feasibility studies

-Equipment selection and sizing

-Engineering support at time of start up
