Operations Manager - Tree Care Services

Location:  Sacramento, CA 95828 ValleyCrest Tree Care Services provides award-winning arborist services on a wide range of properties throughout the nation. Rather than focusing on isolated management techniques, our certified arborists approach the tree as an entire biological system ensuring that our services preserve our customer’s trees, improve safety, reduce liability and protect our client’s landscape investment.We are currently searching for an Operations Manager to lead our Tree Care Services group. The ideal candidate will have managed a Tree Care Services or related green industry business.Operations Managers are also responsible for:• Hiring, managing, training and developing employees; managing performance of employees including conducting performance appraisals; ensuring that employees are both results oriented and operating as a team• Collaborating with Business Developers and Account Managers to develop proposals and sell services to existing and potential customers • Establishing and maintaining branch annual and monthly budgets for revenue, overheads, and profits then reporting results to management• Monitoring expenditures against job budgets • Managing preparation of financial monthly audits and workload projections • Managing the indirect costs and capital assets including managing tools and equipment delivery, storage, operation and maintenance• Acting as a liaison between clients and our branch to ensure that receivables are current and collections are performed• Ensuring that customers are completely satisfied through effective communication and relationship building• Demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting the Company culture, in particular, regarding safety, quality and customer serviceRequirements:• Minimum 5 years management experience in a profitable tree services or related green industry company• Prefer Bachelors degree, formal arboriculture education, certifications or related experience• Strong work ethic• Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) • Effective oral and written communication skills• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment• Customer service experience• Bilingual (Spanish) a plusPlease send your resume and salary requirements to be considered for this challenging opportunity.
