We are looking for a Product Manager to join our team of professionals in Fremont, CA.

 

Job Description:

 

This individual will take responsibility for product planning and product lifecycle management for AutoFarm’s GPS Guidance and Assisted Steering product line.

Specific responsibilities include:

 

· Gathering customer requirements through primary research (surveys, focus groups, attending field days and farm shows, etc.) and secondary research (magazine articles, analyst reports, etc.)

· Tracking and prioritizing requirements, publishing  Market Requirements Documents (MRD) for new products and new product releases

· Managing Product Definition process across multiple functional groups (Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Docs, Operations, etc.)

· Serving on cross-functional team as marketing representative to support product development

· Driving pricing and promotion decisions within the marketing group

· Developing and implementing new product launch projects

 

 

Requirements:

 

· B.A. or B.S. required, M.S. or M.B.A. preferred, agriculture-related discipline desirable (agronomics or agricultural engineering, for instance)

· Minimum 5 years experience as a Product Manager in a similar role/ organization.  

· At least 5 years of successful experience bringing Hardware AND Software products to market.

· Agriculture industry a strong plus, five years or more strongly preferred.

· Familiar with agricultural products and markets.

· Able to work independently against multiple goals and deadlines.

· Familiarity with precision agriculture, GPS systems, and farm vehicles is very desirable.  

· The candidate must have the ability to communicate with a wide range of stake holders-research engineers, operations, sales, dealers, and cutting edge farmers.
