Pilgrim’s Pride is currently seeking a Raw Materials Production Scheduler for our SUM Plant Sales and Shipping department at our Sumter, SC facility. This position provides detailed schedules for production equipment within an established master schedule. Requires a knowledge of machine capacities, equipment, and processes in the assigned area. This position normally focuses on a limited range of operations or processes and short-term schedules.

Basic Responsibilities:
• Monitors backlog of work for assigned area.
• Sequences orders to meet promise dates and optimize productivity.
• Revises schedules to accommodate rush orders, rework, and breakdowns.
• Monitors material supply and alerts others to potential shortages.
• Prepares and monitors master schedules by working with materials planning, production and maintenance to coordinate activities.
• Communicates status and changes to customer service and/or directly to customers.
- Occasional minor discomforts from exposure to less than optimal temperature and air conditions.
- Modestly unpleasant situations, such as occasional exposure to office chemicals and/or extensive use of video display terminal.

Basic Qualifications:
- 3 years inventory, logistical, and scheduling management.
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Intermediate level of knowledge using Microsoft Office Applications. (Word, Excel, etc)
- Knowledge of Evisceration, 2nd Process, Breast De-bone and the Shipping processing areas preferred.
- Intermediate level of knowledge using SAP or ERP systems.
- Ability to learn and use Shop Floor and Wolf System. (These are computer programs that track production, storage, and sales within Pilgrims Pride Corporation.)
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED; Typically requires 1-2 years of specialized/vocational training or college coursework beyond high school; preferably in a related area.
