SQL Enterprise DBA

Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company databases. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Requirements: Five+ years of full-time hands on SQL DBA experience Two+ years of SQL 2005 experience Hands on experience with SQL replication and database mirroring Hands on experience with SQL in a clustered environment Hands on experience with large SQL databases in a multi-server environment with high transaction volume. Preferred: Database file partitioning experience MCDBA or MCTS certification(s) SSIS experience JDEdwards One World experience Primary Responsibilities o SQL Server installation o Database creation o Database user administration o Database security o Back Up and Restore procedures o Ensuring backups are working and performing test restores o Performance tuning / Database optimization o Recommending and implementing upgrades/patches/hotfixes o Monitoring existing systems o Designing and architecting new systems o Must work well in a team environment o Daily monitoring of database replication and mirroring o Monitoring of disaster recovery site and database failover Secondary Responsibilities o Establishing and providing guidelines to our developers o Writing stored procedures o Writing reports o DTS package conversion o Writing ad-hoc SQL queries o Developing database schema o Creating automated processes using tools like BCP, DTS, replication and batch commands Please send your resume and salary requirements to be considered for this exciting opportunity.
