Sales and Marketing Associate

Pineland Farms, Inc. is looking for a motivated salesperson to promote Pineland Farms as a whole, but whose primary focus will be to market our award-winning cheeses. The Creamery has been operating for just over a year and produces cheese from milk fresh from our internationally known herd of Holsteins.

 

Responsibilities:

•Responsible for customer and broker management to achieve and grow sales in new channels and new locations •Call on key customers including supermarket chains, wholesalers, specialty food distributors, independent supermarkets, clubs, and other channels •Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers to maintain/expand market •Deliver product to customers as necessary •Provide superior customer service to any and all clients •Perform other duties as assigned—some job expectations will change as the position evolves

Qualifications:

•Experience in perishable food sales •Successful experience in business development and new product commercialization related to food products •Ability to formulate business development strategies, prepare and execute implementation plans and evaluate new initiatives and opportunities •Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment •Superior organizational skills and ability to follow through with tasks •Ability to interact effectively with a variety of customers, both internal and external •Top-notch customer service skills •High degree of self-motivation and initiative •Familiarity with common office equipment and systems •Familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel •Valid driver’s license
