Senior Compensation Manager – Plymouth, MN
Role Purpose –
The role is located in Plymouth Minnesota, and report to the Head Compensation Relocation and International Assignments in Greensboro, North Carolina, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Head, HR Corn and Soya Business in Plymouth. The role is responsible for compensation for Seeds within NAFTA. Role delivery will be accomplished by and through being part of the NAFTA Compensation (in Greensboro) whose principle responsibilities are developing strategic compensation programs that align with global principles and company goals. This includes strategy and design of base and incentive pay and compensation communications. Administer on-going salary administration, bonus plans, (short and long term) salary surveys and day-to-day compensation changes, and through a direct report manages the Syngenta domestic relocation programs and international assignment policies. Liaisons as appropriate with Corporate Executive Compensation, CP Executives/Business Leaders and HR Business Partners and across Crop Protection, NADI, NABRI and Seeds.
Accountabilities –
Assist with design and implementation of new compensation (base and incentive) strategies.Handle day-to-day processing for base and incentive compensation, competitive trends, compensation policy implementation and salary surveys.Assist in evaluating existing compensation plans for effectiveness.Provide analysis of divisional base salary and incentive plans to adhere to policies and within budget guidelines.Track base and incentive amounts/targets utilizing PeopleSoft’s variable compensation and job data modules.Manage trend analysis and benchmarkingMaintain Seed industry networking and participating member of the Syngenta global Compensation Network of Excellence.Manage Syngenta US domestic relocation and foreign national visa/immigration issues. (Specific role and responsibilities to be determined).
Knowledge, experience & capabilities -
Critical knowledge:
Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, HR or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years experience in compensation area.Excellent organization, follow-up and analytical skills. Excellent leadership and project management skills. Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner. Ability to organize and present data to Management.
