Our client is seeking a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer to perform product design, testing and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project. In this position you will: Perform design, coding and testing for embedded products to meet customer and software requirements. Examples include drive-by-wire control systems, hydraulic controls, and displays. Design and implement software features to meet established software reliability and quality requirements by implementing specified design techniques.Produce and/or review possible design solutions to improve quality and performance.Work with software verification group to create and perform software verification and validation. Create schedules and produce software requirements, design and test documentation during the software development process. Compile and furnish necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design data) to document the software design.Apply existing methods and tools to understand and solve routine problems. QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with a desired minimum GPA of 3.0Knowledge of electronic circuits and electronic components, exposure to microprocessors and microcontrollers, 8 bit/16 bit/32 bit processors or DSPs.5+ years of work experience in Embedded Software Development. ‘C’ language programming.Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience analyzing and solving problems. Exposure to Assembly, C++ or other programming languages. Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems concepts. Knowledge of a product development process.Preferable to have exposure to MATLAB, Simulink or similar tools.
