Senior Writer – Decatur, IL
This is a full-time/exempt position

Description:
Researches, writes and maintains ADM communications surrounding corporate strategy and issues. Authors white papers, speeches and collateral materials. The considered candidate will stay abreast of latest news, science and opinion on issues facing the company, constantly surveying the competitive and operating landscape for relevant information for use in communications.

Requirements:
Exceptional ability to write for reading and speaking
Ability to synthesize complex, scientific and highly technical concepts into cogent arguments
Capacity to self-manage projects and balance competing demands on time
Ability to network within the company to identify and cultivate sources of knowledge and insight
Comfort with deadline-driven work

Requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and at least ten years of experience in strategic communications. Ideally will have experience as a speechwriter and author for Fortune 500 business, government, associations or NGOs.
