Sr. Network Administrator
In order to be qualified for this position, individuals must have a minimum of 5 year Cisco experience, 3 years installing and configuring Cisco Layer 3 Switches (2950 thru 6500). Knowledge of Internet Networking, DNS and an understanding of network security. This individual must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as problem solving skills. CCNA and/or CCDA preferred.
General Responsibilities: Maintain and troubleshoot existing Internet WAN circuits, Citrix connectivity issues and end-user support, and printer and print queue monitoring throughout our International branches. Perform in-depth troubleshooting on numerous computer platforms, operating systems, and network topologies across a widely dispersed geographical area. Assist branch contractors/ISP in diagnosing problem areas including LAN/WAN connectivity, desktop issues, and supporting our user base.
Experience implementing/managing Cisco products including but not limited to (2800/3800/7200 series routers, 2900/3700/6500 series switches, Cisco pix firewall or ASA),implementing/managing EIGRP/BGP routing protocols in an enterprise network environment
and implementing Vlan technology in an enterprise environment
Experience with Windows servers and Active Directory management. Complete all requests for adds, moves and changes on network systems in a timely manner, as they relate to routers, switches, firewalls, Internet connections, IOS configurations, QOS and other network components
Should have working knowledge of Citrix, MS Exchange, MS SQL.
Create and maintain the various software components that relate to monitoring the computer network and the communications systems overall health.
Recommend, schedule and perform network improvements, upgrades, maintenance and repairs of network components
Understand and support the cabling infrastructure
Prepare and maintain the documentation of network configuration and cabling layouts
Specific Responsibilities:CitrixConnectivity issues for all employeesClient installation and setup for new employeesServer monitoring for ‘Connection Query’ states, server logs, etc. Reboot servers as neededRouters and CircuitsWAN circuit monitoring for all branches Notification to local ISP and branch personnel when circuit goes down
MS ExchangeAdministration and General Architecture - 2007 experience a plus.
Qualifications:Minimum seven years industry-related experience troubleshooting systems integration, hardware requirements and end-user supportAdvance hands-on knowledge of Cisco family of products.Working knowledge of Windows 2003 servers and Citrix MetaFrame XPe/4.5Experience with desktop and file server operating systems: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003.Monitor workstations for viruses and remove infections when necessary using Anti-Virus toolsKnowledge and understanding of network topologies, protocols, and cabling standardsAbility to successfully manage multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time.
