Supply Chain Technologist

Ensure the intergrity, quality and food safety of all produce supplied to Client.
Grower and Packhouse Approval through auditing all aspects of food safety and quality assurance to meet current legislation and client and customers standards
Monitoring GAP and GMP Compliance in supply base
Develop and maintain audit schedules to ensure all suppliers are audited to timescales according to designated risk status.
Develop and manage an Approved Supplier Database
Ensure full traceability of products including pesticide compliance.
Developing and operating a system for monitoring supplier performance
Deceloping raw material specifications in conjunction with Development, Technical and Operations
Enable 100% customer service through development of open & honest realtionships with the Grower base built on mutual trust:
Develop profitability plans with all Category Champions
Develop Strategic Safety and Quality Review Programmes with all Category Champions
Trobleshoot yield, quality and safety issues with Growers
Develop corrective/preventative action plan based on intake QA trends and factory performance of raw
Develop varietal trial programmes to deliver a USP or improvements in factory performance or product quality
Liaison with enforcement and industry bodies:
Primary Liaison with 3rd Party GAP audit bodies
Represent Client on all technical bodies related to growing
USDA lead


3yrs Experience in a field-based Food Safety/Quality role in Produce
Auditing experience at grower level
Knowledge of organic growing processes
Experience of Eurepgap auditing or compliance
