Technical Brand Manager – Greensboro, NC

 

Role Purpose –

 Thoroughly profile active ingredients and brands for utility and competitive advantagesProvide brand training and/or materials for training to internal/external customersProvide Brand Management support through designing brands that have technical integrity in performance, positioning and sustainabilitySet active ingredients / brand development priorities and manage development budget and projects for timely delivery 

 

Knowledge, experience & capabilities –

 Minimum M.S. degree in Agronomy or relevant principle with 5+ years experience in product development. PhD is highly desirableBasic knowledge (minimum of 1-2 courses) in plant pathology; good working knowledge/experience in plant physiology and factors that result in increased yields Understanding of key agronomic factors in field crops, especially corn, soybean and cerealsBroad knowledge of product development process, protocol writing, information systems, and regulatory requirements.

 

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:

 Keen understanding of agriculture, marketplace dynamics, competitive environment and customer needsAbility to integrate various management practices together - incorporating fungicides, seed care, etc with PGRs Ability to understand/incorporate developments in biotechnology/genetics into crop management program Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple tasksExceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to analyze data and interpret for decision making, identifying opportunities, and supporting communications.

 

Critical leadership capabilities:

 Demonstrated ability to think and act creatively and strategically.Demonstrated successful project leadership and team work Ability to effectively interact across functional groups to achieve desired results.Knowledge of brand strategies development and implementation is highly desirable.
