Turf and Ornamental Application Technician

ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance – Lorton, VAis currently accepting applications for the position of Turf and Ornamental Application Technician Job Description:  Oversee Agronomic and Horticultural technical service operations for the ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance Branch in the greater Washington DC market. Responsibilities: Oversees the execution of the Branch Ag Plan Serves as primary applicator for the Branch Prepares material orders and allocates costs to appropriate accounts Works with Account Managers to schedule and make applications to all properties serviced by the Branch. Oversees treatment quality by observing application quality and plant response When necessary, hires and trains application technicians in the use of fertilizers and pest control products Performs the Duties of Certified Operator in Charge Certified as the Turf & Ornamental applicator for the Branch Ensure that all employees handling, selling or using pest control products are properly documented as required by State Rules and Regulation Ensures that all required pesticide training is completed and documented Ensures that all materials are securely labeled stored and handled Maintains Label and MSDS files for Branch and all vehicles Maintains all records required by State Rules and Regulations Reports all pesticide incidents to the Director of Technical Services Works with the Director of Technical Services Implements the Agronomic Plan for the branch Helps evaluate new material and techniques as needed Helps develop and conduct training programs for the branch Qualifications:o Must be State Certified as a Turf and Ornamental Applicator/Operator as appropriate for the branch.o Must possess adequate proficiency in the diagnosis of turf and ornamental problems.o Possess basic math skills to calculate pesticide fills and material requirements.o Possess basic computer skills to input applications and track material usage.o Have demonstrated organizational skills necessary to schedule and assign work and to evaluate performance.o Familiar with equipment operation and maintenance. Compensation and Benefits:  o Competitive pay based on education and experience.o Benefits including life and health insurance and 401-K. ValleyCrest is the largest privately held landscape installation and maintenance company in the United States with annual revenues of greater than $1 BB.  For more information visit our website www.valleycrest.com.  Send resume and references to: Patrick McVicker Regional Recruiter  pmcvicker@valleycrest.com  ValleyCrest Landscape MaintenancePhone: 301-831-8000 x109 officeFax: 818-225-5606  Para ver una página en Español y aplicar, haga clic en el siguiente botón.
