ASSISTANT TO ART GALLERY DIRECTOR

We're looking for a sharp-witted, enthusiastic, and creative individual to join the Chicago Art Source team providing administrative support to the Gallery Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

§         Assists in art procurement

§         Administrative projects

§         General clerical duties such as data entry and filing

§         Compiling proposals for Outside Sales Representatives

§         Collaborate and following-up with vendors

§         Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

§         Must be a self starter who can prioritize work, conduct research, work in a fast paced creative environment, and handle multiple concurrent projects efficiently and successfully. 

§         Possess creative, methodical, as well as strong problem solving skills.

§         Aptitude for anticipating Gallery Director’s needs

§         Flexibility and calm demeanor to operate in a very creative and ever-changing environment

§         Can play well with others

§        Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, InDesign, and Illustrator.

§         Must be capable of creating vector files using Illustrator

§        1-3 years experience in a similar role.

§         Consummate administrative professionals with a background in art or those with art gallery experience need only apply.

§         Bachelor’s degree in art related field.
