Major Duties

At the full performance level as a senior engineer, independently develops a broad range of detailed requests for proposal specifications packages for military, civil and HTRW projects and related specifications involving architectural and engineering features. Projects often contain unique and highly complex features requiring innovative and original specifications that include ensuring analysis and additions of customer specific requirements, construction phasing and extensive detailed bid schedules. Coordinates status of specifications with other specification writers and disciplines concerning completeness and scheduling. Assures correctness of specifications and resolves difficult and controversial problems. Prepares amendments and field changes, proposed project modifications and coordinates with applicable design sections for their technical input and comments. Participates in both formal and informal value engineering studies.
