Architectural / Interiors Project Manager
Position Summary:
Works closely with the Sr. Vice President of Construction and Director of Project Planning on assigned tasks and phases of the project process; including but not limited to assisting in soliciting proposals from consultants, coordination of consultants during design, review of construction documents, construction administration, space planning, interior design, furniture/finish selection and administrative assistance.
Qualifications:
Required
▪ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
▪ Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training.
• Excellent organizational skills.
▪ Computer Skills:
Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
AutoCAD architectural desktop
Microsoft Project (helpful)
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with outside consultants and team members.
▪ Ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management & Administrative: 75%
▪Provide design related information to and communicate with relevant project team members including: Designers, Construction Project Managers & Superintendents, and Property Management Staff.
▪ Develop and evaluate Requests for Proposals for consulting services.
▪ Coordinate projects with Architect, Landscape Architect, Civil Engineer and Interior Design Consultants.
▪ Manage Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) Budgets for all projects, ensuring all funds are dispersed appropriately for interior & exterior furnishings, computers, and equipment.
▪ Manage/oversee interior design consultants, including: contract administration, approval of all finish and furniture selections, maintaining deadlines & budgets, and continuous correspondence.
• Meet project deadlines, with attention to detail, accuracy & budget.
• Track, record and submit on a daily basis all time worked in accordance with company policy.
Design: 25%
• Formulate environmental plan to be practical, esthetic, and conducive to intended purposes.
▪ Create/Implement company Design Standards, including: unit finish, material selection, and light fixture packages.
▪ Coordinate design related aspects of projects, including: interior finish schedules, lighting specifications, signage packages, unit finish selections, and outdoor furniture selection and layout.
• Advise on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, color schemes, and color coordination.
• Render design ideas in form of paste ups, drawings, or illustrations.
▪ Communicate & negotiate with product vendors & representatives as needed.
▪ Maintain sample library.
• Selects and coordinates purchase of project furnishings, art works, and accessories.
▪ Order all office furnishings as needed throughout the company.
▪ Supervise furniture installations.
