Project Manager/ Project Architect /Job Captain

 

 

This is a growing Architectural firm with multiple offices which has a successful record of architectural design. Company actively seeks candidates with various levels of professional architectural industry experience interested in working in a dynamic and creative team for the office located in Los Angeles.

 

SIGN ON BONUSES could be available for certain candidates, depending on experience.

 

Available positions include the following (please read on for further details on job requirements):

 

- Architectural Project Manager

- Project Architect / Designer

- Architectural Job Captain

 

 

The highly respected and forward thinking firm specializes major market sectors including: Commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, office buildings, some educational, and retail projects.

 

ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT MANAGER: 

 

- At least 7 years experience in the industry

- Ensure that work is preformed within the scope of the contract and budget

- Serves as the primary client contact for the life of the project, and prepares/manages both client and  consultant contracts

- Architectural registration required

- Strong verbal, written and some CAD skills required

- Proven ability to bring about positive firm wide changes

- Will accept most types of project experience

- Responsible for administering all phases of the project or projects

- Supervises, trains and mentors other staff

 

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER / PROJECT ARCHITECT: 

 

- Minimum 6 years experience working in all phases of architecture

- Architectural registration

- Excellent interpersonal communication skills required for communicating with others within

- Strong verbal, written and Autocad / software skills required

 - Works with the studio leader and/or project manager to establish budgets for the design phases of the project, and ensures that work is preformed within the scope of the contract and budget

- Analyze client problems and conceives and develops architectural design solutions that meet the clients expectations and budgets

- Prepares presentation and design drawings

- Use graphic, writer and verbal skills to communicate design and planning concepts to clients

- Provides coordination of all consultants related to the building design, monitoring of working drawings, presentation and coordination with agencies affecting design

 

 

 

ARCHITECTURAL JOB CAPTAIN: 

 

- At least 5 years experience in the Architectural industry

- Architectural registration preferred but not necessary

- Thorough knowledge of architectural drafting, detailing, building materials, building codes and zoning codes

- Will accept most types of project experience, but prefer commercial / corporate / retail, educational or mixed use

- Ability to look for opportunities to bring about positive firm-wide changes in support of business goals

  - Receives technical or design guidance from the project architect, project mgr, or project designer

- Contributes in the collaborative effort involved in developing concepts into design solutions

- Position will require individual to do regular visits to project sides and other travel 

- Prepares architectural plans and rendering, consult with manufacturers, and coordinates consultant work

  - Strong verbal, written, AutoCAD skills
