MOCA Systems is currently seeking Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers to join their team in the Honolulu, HI Office. 

 

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· Review all documents and site conditions to become familiar with the project

· Collect and validate local market data to be used in estimates

· Assist in the creation of detailed and accurate cost estimates and schedules

· Identify critical path and cost issues

· Assist in monitoring contractors progress

· Perform and document detailed takeoffs

· Communicate with vendors, general contractors, engineers, and all team members

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

 

Interested candidates should have a thorough understanding of construction principles, ability to work within a team of Engineers to develop detailed construction cost estimates at the conceptual, schematic, design, development and final phases.  The successful candidate(s) will support and augment existing project teams in the development and execution of plans, schedules, and budgets using standard cost and scheduling applications augmented by the MOCABuild project controls system.

 

Candidates should have:

· Four-year college degree (B.S) in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is required

· 1-3 years of cost estimating or scheduling experience preferred

· Demonstrated MS Excel and Word proficiency

· Experience with RSMeans and Primavera is a plus

· Government experience is a plus
