AutoPlant 3-D Modeling Designer

Stantec Consulting provides a broad range of engineering services including the following: • Central utility plant design • Power plant/cogeneration feasibility studies and design • Industrial design including process plants and material handling • Engineering design for pharmaceutical clients We've been successful in securing several large contracts which necessitate expanding the engineering department. Responsibilities: Qualifications: • A minimum of ten years experience practicing as an AutoCad designer with Civil/Structural design experience. • Extensive experience in AutoPlant (Rebis) 3-D Modeling.• Steel and Structural Design experience. • Can prepare plant layouts and detailed design models and/or construction drawings. • Able to review and check design models, drawings and design documents prepared by others in the group and by material suppliers, as assigned. • Can prepare bulk material quantity takeoffs for materials applicable to the discipline. • Can demonstrate teamwork while working with designers in other disciplines in the overall assignment to coordinate plant space utilization. • Communicate questions from client or construction group on design for assigned responsibility. • Compiles and maintains job drawing files, records and drawing controls. • Knowledge of design and AutoCAD techniques, engineered drawings, graphic arts, model work reading of drawings and reproduction methods used by the discipline. • Skill in reading, interpreting and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups. • Knowledge of the application of engineering and construction materials related to the disciplines design responsibilities. • Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to the discipline. • Knowledge of technical responsibilities of other groups associated with the total design effort. • Skill in leading the technical work of less experienced designers and/or CADD operators who share in the design effort. • Specialized courses in CADD, design and engineering practices.Stantec Consulting is searching for an enthusiastic individual with initiative who is seeking a challenging opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects.
