Buildings Sustainability Leader

Will develop and manage new sustainable design projects.- Contribute to corporate business strategy and plan long term business focused solutions. Represent group at internal board level meetings.- Responsible for sustainable projects and activities.- Provide senior level accountability, supervision and guidance on sustainable projects.- Attend client meetings, communicate with clients to identify and establish their needs, and discuss design issues with clients.- Advise discipline engineers on sustainable design methods. Will collaborate on and manage early phase analysis by engineers of other disciplines in order to support a holistic sustainable solution for the project that is aligned with the client's priorities.- Focus on helping Arup teams identify viable early phase sustainability alternates.- Oversee cost and energy analysis associated with supporting calculations.Requirements: - 10+ years of recent experience and expertise in the area of sustainable and green building design. 15+ years of industry experience.- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Architecture.- LEED accreditation and PE license desired.- Project management and experience supervising staff.- Building development capability and experience, including strong formal verbal presentations skills.- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential for team based working.- Commercial and financial awareness.- External profile in sustainable design is a plus.- Chair position in an industry sustainable organization is a plus.- Proven interest in the field of building design.- Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CFDApply Online For our full-time positions, we offer excellent salaries, a progressive environment and a premier benefits package that includes: Full medical, dental, long term disability and life insurance coverage Three weeks' vacation in year one 10% of annual compensation contributed by the company to your retirement plan, up to IRS limits Educational assistance Health club subsidy Paid, comprehensive training programs Team-oriented working environment Business casual dress Arup is an equal opportunity employer.
