Business Development Representative

Small Giants Recruiting is representing a leading subcontractor in the Arizona market who is seeking a Business Development Representative to develop strong relationships with clients, municipalities, general contractors, engineers, architects, and the business community.

 

The ideal candidate will have very strong networking and relationship-building skills.  Candidate will have the ability to strategically target new business and maintain existing client relationships through constant communication in the field as well as at networking/industry events.  This position reports to the President and Vice President.

Summary of responsibilities:

 

Ø  Attend relevant industry association meetings and events

Ø  Maintain a positive public image for the company

Ø  Involvement in related networking groups to further the abilities and reputation of company in the private sector

Ø  Develop strong working relationships with public entities

Ø  Generate and track leads and new business opportunities

Ø  Maintain current clients relationships and develop new contacts at the general contractor, architect, engineer and owner level

 

 

Required Skills:

The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate; must be a good listener with the ability to work independently as a self-starter. Critical thinking skills and a natural ability to adapt to a wide variety of business and social environments is a must. Candidate who is familiar with the construction/subcontracting industry or related A/E/C is preferred but not required.

Degree & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree.  Minimum of 5 years of construction experience in the A/E/C (or related) industry.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM software experience a plus. Successful candidate will be competitive and results oriented.
