Perform office operations, procedures and policy implementation development and interpretation. Assist office leaders in the identification and resolution of business issues to help achieve the short and long term goals of the office. Investigates, analyzes, and resolves complex financial and accounting issues. Helps establish office procedures and policies. Assists project managers in budgeting and maintaining financial control over projects.Acts as liaison between corporation resources, project managers and IS staff to understand and define information needs and design and implement/upgrade systems and reports for project management reporting and analysis. Designs and issues accurate reports on a timely basis. Analyze job-related financial information and helps resolve accounting issues and interprets and applies policies. Consults with project managers and project accounting staff in other units to apply policy and provide assistance. Trains users in project management policies and procedures as well as project management systems.Coordinates accounting and finance functions such as billings and receipts, capital and operating budgets, job budgets, financial goals, projections, and forecasting. Helps train users on systems that provide job relation financial information. Serve as a SME used for system testing. Consults with IS staff in the development, implementation, and upgrade of project management applications. Interacts with project managers to determine what issues affecting project management need to be addressed. Assists project managers in contract review, including prime and sub agreements, contract compliance and insurance issues. May help develop, and also administer training programs to project managers and other staff in proper project management techniques, standards and procedures. Helps analyze job-based accounting information such as earnings by job jobs in progress, delinquent billings, etc. identifying actions needed to rectify problems and issues. May assist in project leadership in contract negotiations. Potential to manage staff.QualificationsBachelor?s degree in finance, accounting or business preferred plus 4-6 years related experience. Background in an engineering or architectural firm is a plus.
