The Equity Engineering Group, Inc. (E2G) is internationally recognized in the refining and petrochemical industries as the leader on aging infrastructure (fixed equipment) service and support.  Our company has pioneered the development of advanced Fitness-for-Service (FFS) and risk based inspection (RBI) technologies.  E2G is the exclusive API subcontractor authorized to develop and deliver training programs for FFS (API 579), RBI (API 580/581) and Pressure Relief System Design (API 520/521).  The job opening in the Thermal and Fluid Systems Group is located at the Corporate Headquarters in Shaker Heights, Ohio. 

 

As a member of E2G, the Chemical or Process Mechanical Engineer’s job responsibilities will include the following:

 Assess overpressure scenarios and perform relief system analysis using API 520/521 guidelinesAnalyze heat exchanger mechanical integrity using E2G rating toolsPerform piping hydraulic calculations and analyze pump system performanceBecome familiar with RBI analysis methodology of pressure relief devices and heat exchanger bundles for future implementationProvide process engineering support to other groups within E2GDevelop proposals for new workPromote E2G by participation and presentations at industry forums

 

Requirements:  BS Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a strong work ethic and the desire for a challenging, rewarding and progressive work environment are required.  Familiarity with process equipment, plant operations, pump system hydraulics and relief system design is desired.  Candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in a refinery or petrochemical plant setting and must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
