Chief Mechanical Engineer

SmithGroup, a nationally recognized, award-winning architectural engineering firm with offices nationwide, has full-time openings for Chief Mechanical Engineers in our Phoenix office.

Position responsibilities include design leadership for large complex projects with responsibility for coordination and quality reviews of mechanical staff work. Candidates must possess strong communication skills for fostering business relationships, working with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors and others. Candidates must have proven leadership, supervisory, and technical capabilities. 

 

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering required.  Professional registration, LEED A/P and related experience in the A/E industry preferred.  10 to 15 years of related experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Strong background working with laboratory, technology and healthcare facilities preferred.
