Construction Administrator

We have over 40 years of experience designing high-performance, solution based learning facilities in the Northeast and have completed over $4 billion in projects over the course of our four decade history.   Responsibilities: Responsible to perform regular visits to project sites during construction phase Schedule and mediate project meetings and document report of meetings Monitor and update construction costs and budgets Negotiate construction costs for change orders and document and prepare change orders or as required by contract Reviews all contractor quotes and claims for unnecessary costs or waste Comply with agency requirements and submissions during construction phase Monitor projects for conformance to contract requirements and construction schedule Review documents prior to bid for errors and omissions and coordination between disciplines Coordinate closeout documentation substantial completion, punch lists, and final acceptance Negotiate and resolve problems and disputes Keep all parties abreast of all situations in a timely professional manner Review and certify all applications for payment Assist design team during SD, DD, and CD in constructability and scheduling Other duties as assigned by Manager, Construction Services   Requirements: Associate degree with 3 years related experience or 8 years experience in related field. Extensive knowledge of construction including methods, types of material, code compliance, inspection standards, etc. as well as front-end of specifications and Owner / Architect contracts and Owner / CM Agreements. Ability to communicate effectively and interact successfully with clients, contractors & other professional disciplines. Ability to synthesize team ideas and contributions. Ability to plan, organize and implement with successful and timely results. Facility for written and oral communication. Proficiency in computer use. Open to change, receptive to new ideas and concepts. Acts as liaison between the firm, client/owner, and contractors to properly over see projects during construction phase through completion.
