JOB TITLE:  Area Marketing Manager – Midwest Region-Contract

DESCRIPTION:

 

The SolidWorks Area Marketing Manager will work with regional sales and technical teams to increase the marketing effectiveness of SolidWorks resellers in their area.  

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Develop area marketing plans to increase reseller lead generation activities and marketing that align with SolidWorks objectives. 

 

Lead execution of the marketing plans including development of tactics such as topic specific and vertical specific seminars to be conducted by resellers to increase leads into the pipeline.

 

Motivate resellers to prepare and execute marketing plans.  Review and provide written feedback on all plans and mid-year reviews.

 

Meet regularly with resellers to increase activity and capabilities

 

Deliver training one-on-one, in group and webcast training to all interested resellers worldwide.

 

Become the voice that champions the field perspective on marketing programs, and balances that perspective with marketing experience, as well as marketing and corporate objectives.

 

Develop direct marketing initiatives to support vertical direct marketing to better penetrate area opportunities. The activities should be tailored to the conditions of the local market.

 

 

Ensure sharing and execution of established best practices.

 

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of high-tech corporate or channel marketing.

 

EDUCATION: B.A. in English, Communications, Marketing or Journalism.

 REQUIREMENTS:

 

Proven track record creating and executing lead generation programs



Availability to travel at least 50% per month.  Can be up to 75%.

 

Strong communication, organizational, management and analytical skills

 

Demonstrates initiative, creativity and ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

 

Ability to set and meet deadlines; understand organizational goals and show flexibility in changing environment

 

 Ability to manage projects independently from start to finish.

 

Ability to interact positively with employees at all levels, external vendors, resellers, prospects, and customers. 

 

Proficiency with Microsoft Desktop applications and Macromedia Contribute
