PROFESSIONAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING (PSE), an ‘atelier’ consulting, design, engineering firm established in 1986, is a national leader in providing services to: justice and corrections jurisdictions, government and transportation agencies, the nuclear power industry, commercial firms, arts and educational facilities. PSE is seeking a full-time Principal/Director of Electrical Engineering with 10+ years experience as a senior project manager, engineering principal, or director of engineering. The individual must demonstrate a high level of engineering knowledge in several fields:  security, CCTV, access control, fire alarm/fire protection, tele/data, audio visual, building technologies, instructional technologies, specialized lighting design, and/or systems integration. PE license is desirable or ability to attain a PE license. Prior project experience in some of the following markets:  corrections, transportation, nuclear power industry, commercial, and educational facilities are recommended.This position offers an opportunity for entrepreneurial participation for the enterprising engineer who has run a financially successful department/business entity and has created extensive networking capabilities.

Principle Duties:Plans, administers, organizes, directs, and coordinates all electrical engineering project work with/for principals, project managers, engineers, and designers.Ensures that all assigned projects are set up properly, stay organized, completed on schedule within budget while maintaining project profitability. Directs development of engineering design concepts, administers quality control, and scope identification.Develops/contributes to client following, networking opportunities, and new business. Provides technical and fee proposals as part of the technical teams.
