If so, read on!What you will be doing:- The Design Manager is responsible for designing, interpreting, and coordinating large scope complex design projects through all phases of design development. - This individual demonstrates creativity, foresight, and maturity in design judgment when anticipating and solving design complexities. - Design Manger is to also have strong project management skills. - Additional responsibilities include planning, interpreting, organizing, and managing projects through all phases of development. - Establishes and monitors budgets, manages project team and prepares schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources. - This position provides design direction, oversees design presentations, monitors project design development and support to ensure consistent and high-quality design firm wide. -This position is responsible for establishing client relationships, directing and monitoring all design activities. - The Design Manager should have extensive experience in all phases of design, including substantial experience in Design management. - The Design Manager oversees the architectural process from proposal through construction administration on a project. - This position is responsible for establishing client relationship, directing and monitoring all project activities. - The Design Manager must demonstrate experience in all phases of architecture and engineering, including substantial experience in project management. The ability to develop and understand contractual liabilities as they relate to architect/owner projects including fee calculations. -The Design Manager is expected to demonstrate professional skill, high standards, sound judgment and professionalism. - It is essential to pass your knowledge to others and support a continuous learning environment. - Team building and motivation are also key responsibilities.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides design leadership for all project phases to ensure design continuity - Creates, develops and implements project design concepts - Establishes and maintains ongoing, positive and productive client relationships - Assures design conforms to contractual agreement with client - Assures that project needs are satisfied by effectively managing design staff to ensure efficient utilization of resources - Understands and implements processes to reduce risks and exposure - Monitors initial design through completion of construction - Effectively and proactively coaches, mentors and provides performance enhancing feedback to team members. - Effectively manages consultants and other construction trades as well as governmental agencies - Assures project conforms to contractual agreement with client - Effectively manage project budget to ensure profitability - Effectively manage project to ensure completion within allocated period of time - Maintains ongoing, positive and productive client relationships - Assures that project needs are satisfied by effectively managing project staff to ensure efficient utilization of resources - Implements processes to reduce risks and exposure in all areas of the project. - Directs all activities related to construction administration including scheduling, shop drawings process, field observations, reports, change orders and pay requests - Assures construction administration activities emphasize on efficiency, quality assurance and code complianceWhat you need:-This position requires a B.S. or B.A. in Architecture or Interior Design and 7+ years experience in designing mid-size to large architectural projects including urban and resort hotels. - It is essential for the Design Manager to have strong client management skills, strong sketching skills, project management and negotiation experience. - This position must have leadership experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently achieving high standards and goals. - Proven experience in motivating and inspiring others is essential. - Presentation skills are required. - Travel is required.What's in it for you:A competitive salary, benefits package and much, much more!Sound like the job for you?
