ESTIMATOR, DRAFTSMAN - BUILDING MATERIAL MFG

Successful Custom Manufacturer of Acoustical Building Products Seeks motivated, experienced construction & building material Estimator-Draftsperson to jump into the trenches!

We seek an associate who will conduct take-offs, estimate material & costs to issue quotations -- and has the skillsets to produce Shop Drawings using CAD. The right candidate will possess excellent technical and software skills and begin immediately to contribute to the quoting capacity of our Estimating Department. A bright, can-do attitude is a must!



Responsibilities:

- Work cooperatively with our Project Account Managers to produce accurate quotes to our customers (Interior Finish Subcontractors) for our Acoustical Treatment Products.

- Read blueprints and complete take-offs to produce accurate quotes rapidly for the sales department.

- Use CAD to produce shop drawings.

- Have excellent computer skills to optimize a paperless office and electronic delivery of quotations and relative materials.

- Read architectural drawings & specifications, interface with General Contractors and Architects to produce accurate quotes and make recommendations to bring the most cost-effective solutions to our customers.



Skills/Qualifications:

Candidate must possess excellent skills with math, computer technologies, written and verbal communication; possess a cooperative team spirit, participate in the sales goals of the team, seek additional responsibilities as they arise to meet the sales and profitability goals of the company. Be positive, willing, fast, accurate, energetic, enjoy a past-paced environment, come in early/leave late. Experience with estimating building material in the construction trade a must.



Candidate will work at our plant located in Ocala Florida, and join our team of professional sales and estimating personnel.
