Estimator – Commercial Flooring

We are a local, full-service commercial flooring contractor that has an immediate need for an enthusiastic and motivated estimator.  This person must have proven flooring industry experience, be able to read plans, and effectively complete takeoffs for all types of commercial flooring applications. Callidus software experience preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

·  Perform accurate, detailed quantity take-offs for bid proposals

·  Read and interpret information contained in plans and specs

·  Obtain clarification on plans and specs from architects and engineers

·  Interface with a wide variety of professionals including architects, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.

·  Provide information to salespeople and project coordinators for the preparation of proposals

·  Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information

 

Requirements:

·  2-3 years of commercial flooring estimating

·  Knowledgeable

·  Proficiency with Callidus software

·  Excellent organizational and time management skills

·  Proficiency with MS Office suite of products

·  Excellent oral and written communication skills

·  Ability to work independently and in a team environment

·  Ability to handle multiple projects at one time

·  Ability to handle deadlines and a fast-paced environment
