Facilities/ CAD/Space Management Associate

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The CAD/Space Management Associate is responsible for production of AutoCAD based floor plans and related space (area) management activities to provide lease plans and rentable area calculations that support leasing, property management and accounting functions within the organization.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as a team member, on multiple projects, providing a high degree of quality & continuity in delivered services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Draft and maintain revisions for CAD plans of all properties in the DC Office portfolio1Maintain the space management database for all plan and area calculation updatesPrepare/provide area calculation models for prospective tenant occupanciesField verify tenant demising partition configurations as necessaryPrepare/review multi-tenant corridor layouts, subdivide plans & area calculationsPrepare Lease Exhibit PlansMaintain the space management database for all plan and area calculation updatesField survey and provide As-Built plan updates for existing tenant spacesPrepare Pre-Built space layout plans for marketingCoordinate activities of various outside CAD/drafting/survey consultants & incorporate results with in-house CAD plans

Job Qualifications:

Good interpersonal and communication skillsStrong CAD drafting (AutoCAD) skillsIn-depth knowledge of the BOMA area measurement methodWorking knowledge of applicable building codes and ADA requirementsStrong analytical and organizational skillsStrong personnel & project supervision skillsAbility to prioritize and multi-task while still exhibiting good judgment and poise in a fast-paced supporting role environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access.Must be able to work both independently and as a team member.Organized, efficient and able to work under pressure

Education/Experience: College (Bachelors) Degree in Architecture or related (architecture/interiors/engineering or facilities) field
