Facilities Industrial Mechanic

Maxim has several opportunities for qualified Facilities Industrial
Mechanics with experience supporting general facilities and Class 1
Wafer Fab Clean Rooms. Positions are available at the headquarters at
120 San Gabriel Drive in Sunnyvale and at the Wafer Fab in San Jose,
California. Candidates will support general building facilities
service and preventative maintenance on a wide range of electrical
power, mechanical, ultra pure water, and bulk chemical delivery
systems.



General Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Possess reasonable computer skills (Word and Excel) Ability to work any shift Available for short notice & emergency site response 24/7 Be able to organize, anticipate and solve problems, make decisions, adjust to change, receive and execute work on comprehensible instructions from lead personnel. Be enthusiastic. Be upbeat and make things happen. Work with a “sense of urgency.” Solve problems right away. Ask for help if you don’t know what to do. Follow through to make sure the whole job is completed satisfactorily. Be innovative. Always look for ways to make things better. Develop teamwork within the facility and the office support staff.

Technical Skills Required: Minimum of 5 years facilities service and preventative maintenance experience. This includes: Servicing industrial pumps & motors Motor trouble shooting, replacement & alignment, bearing service Lubrication maintenance - Working in Class 1 clean room environments Minimum of 2 years experience with welding ~ MIG, TIG, ARC & gas Must be fully familiar with hand held testing equipment & meters such as: Volt-ohm meters (Fluke, Triplet, etc…) Amprobes - Micrometers, calipers, etc Must be fully qualified on all safety procedures such as: Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures - Grounding protection & isolation practices Fork lift

Additional Desirable Skills: Machinist Pipe fitting Ultra Pure Water manufacturing & testing Tools - Megger Bearing / vibration monitoring.
