Fire Engineer

We hire the best and brightest people and provide an opportunity for growth commensurate with your investment of skill, energy and desire to contribute and succeed. - Fire protection engineer/code consultant. - Provide fire safety consulting engineering services to a variety of potential clients, including but not limited to architects, developers, owners, government and insurers. - Work on defined tasks under some supervision. - Analyze the built environment and building projects under design for conformance with applicable building fire safety codes and standards. - Apply computer fire modeling and egress modeling for the development of equivalencies or alternate designs to the code. - Assist in the design of sprinkler and fire alarm systems with CAD based programs. - Prepare and review drawings detailing the design as instructed - Prepare reports as requested - Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges Requirements: - Master's level education in fire safety engineering/fire protection engineering or equivalent 2-3 years of relevant experience - EIT/FE qualification - Good verbal and written communication skills - Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to adjust to a range of client or project needs and take on new challenges - Good interpersonal skills - - Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.Apply Online For our full-time positions, we offer excellent salaries, a progressive environment and a premier benefits package that includes: Full medical, dental, long term disability and life insurance coverage Three weeks' vacation in year one 10% of annual compensation contributed by the company to your retirement plan, up to IRS limits Educational assistance Health club subsidy Paid, comprehensive training programs Team-oriented working environment Business casual dress Arup is an equal opportunity employer.
